Update June 2014

Just wanted to post a quick update on this story.  I know I have not posted for a while but that's because life has been weird/hectic/changing.  Life is now coming to a sustainable level that I can write, when I do not have work.  So that's like Monday-Wednesday, more or less, unless I get to pick up work [but I'm at the bottom of the seniority line at work so most likely not].

Anyways, I have thought about Atrevea for so long now that I realized a crucial thing: creating self-sustaining cities in 10 years is not possible in the real world.  I would have to use a hero (or twenty) to get it done but then they couldn't fail and I would not be able to use the destruction of Earth to create the supers.  Probably going to throw out the idea of "destroy the Earth with cosmic stuff" since that really will not work.

An idea came up to me today, therefore, regarding vampires and werewolves.  I am going to do some research into chromozones and whatnot to see if I can come up with a semi valid reason to vampires and werewolves.  You'll hear about it (eventually) if I find this semi valid reason.  :)
